The SAT consists of four sections: Reading, Writing and Language, Math (No Calculator and Calculator), and an optional Essay.

The SAT is scored on a scale of 400 to 1600, combining the scores from the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section (200-800) and the Math section (200-800). The optional Essay is scored separately.

SAT scores are valid for five years from the test date.

You can register for the SAT test online through the official College Board website.

The SAT test lasts for approximately 3 hours, plus an additional 50 minutes if you choose to take the optional Essay.
